The long national nightmare isn't quite over, of course, as long as Mitch McConnell runs the Senate. I have no hopes Republicans will cooperate with a Biden administration. A lot depends on the two Georgia senate seat runoffs.
Still, it seems like we've pulled back from the brink. The spontaneous outbursts of dancing in the streets in American cities (and the rest of the world) yesterday was a joy to watch. And I'm sure people actually slept last night, for the first time in a week (or more).
Such a relief. Breathe. Carry on. We can do this.
